2009 MTYS Scholarship Winners:

Their Profiles: 
On Friday, 6/10/09, it was my pleasure to be present at the 2009 Williamstown High School Senior Recognition Night ceremony. Seniors excelled in and out of the classroom and I was amazed to know that the class had over 90 students with Grade Point Averages over 90%. Monetary scholarships ranged from $50.00—$10,000 and Alayna Cote and Christopher Ertle were worthy recipients of $1,500 each from MTYS. Please review their achievements, which made them standout. Please pause to wish them and the rest of the class of 2009 all the best in their future endeavors.

ELIGIBILITY:

All MTYS
Players and former players who will graduate from Williamstown High School in the Spring of 2010 and who will attend college in the Fall of 2010 are eligible. The scholarship winner(s) must stay in school for the full academic year or they will forfeit their right to the scholarship.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: |
Scholarship(s) will be awarded based on applicant’s citizenship, school and outside activities, including volunteer and community services as well as MTYS participation. Applicants will not be judged solely upon soccer ability/achievements. MTYS wishes to identify and reward high school senior soccer players who are also outstanding citizens.

APPLICATION: |
Candidates fill out the MTYS Scholarship Application and submit it no later than May 15th. Winner(s) will be announced by June 15, 2010.

SCHOLARSHIP: |
The number of scholarships given out each year will be at the discretion of the MTYS Board of Directors based upon the quantity and quality of the applications and the financial constraints of MTYS. At least one scholarship will be awarded annually.

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: |
The amount determined by the MTYS Board of Directors is $1,500 per scholarship.
