MEGAN'S LAW ORDINANCE

To all parents that are looking to become a coach in Monroe Twp:

An ordinance was passed in the Fall of 2012 with regards to Megan’s Law that requires any persons in direct contact with a child must have a background check completed and receive a badge from the township stating a clean record. Your badge must be worn while you are on the complex working with the players.  This ordinance is not just for soccer it is for all sports in Monroe Twp and includes any Coaches, Team Moms, Managers, Directors, etc.  If you already have a badge from the Fall or from any other sport, you are good to coach this spring. Only one badge is required for all sports in Monroe.

If you are interested in becoming a coach at MTYS this spring you will need to act on this now since it takes a little time to get. You will need to go to the Pfeiffer center to get the form for your background check.

Please make sure you do not wait until the season starts or it will be too late and we will have teams without coaches. No coach will be allowed on the soccer fields without this badge and it will have to be enforced this season.

Thank you for your understanding with this ordinance,
